Whilst I was at school I wasn't really that popular which meant that I would find myself going to the canteen and spending inadequate amounts of money on chocolate and cookies, I absolutely loved Kit Kat Chunky's, I would have 3 or 4 a day. Chocolate I find, is my best friend, it might sound weird but because of my popularity chocolate made me happy and for a short while at least I wasn't feeling depressed or angry.
After 7 years though of working I still feel like my best friend has become my number 1 weakness. How do you quit a habit of a lifetime? I hope that before I go to Spain I can lose my stone that has appeared from out of nowhere. Tonight was one of the lows in my life...if only weight could disappear over night.
I am very ashamed of myself for cheating not just for myself but for my personal trainer who has done such a great job of getting me fitter. Why can't I return his wishes? To be honest tonight I am feeling very upset and angry with myself. I must try harder and not think of food as my best friend.
More than anything else in this world is for me to be slim and be at a healthy weight which I haven't been for some years. I hope that before Xabia I will have lost my stone but it will take a lot of determination and sacrifices. Can I do it?

Oxford United
At the start of this season, I was hoping that Oxford could push on from narrowly missing out on the league 2 play-offs. In the summer, Chris Wilder scoured the transfer market and plucked out Jon Paul Pittman from Wycombe Wanderers, Deane Smalley from Oldham Athletic, Andy Whing from Brighton and Hove Albion, Michael Duberry from St Johnstone and Peter Leven from MK Dons. Out of United went Matt Green on loan to Mansfield, Simon Clist on loan to Hereford, Ben Purkiss on loan at Darlington. Sam Deering went to Barnet on a free, Jack Midson went to AFC Wimbledon.
Recently we have said good bye to a few of our rated players for the rest of the season, Ben Purkiss has signed for Hereford, Matt Green has been sold to Mansfield, Josh Payne has signed on loan at Aldershot, Deane Smalley has gone on loan to Bradford. Adam Chapman is still getting back to full fitness so we are going to be very thin on the ground. I am hoping that once we get Damian Batt back from Suspension he will stay fit and fire us to consolidate a play off berth.

Predictions
Before this weekend's fixtures, I have been digesting the surprise form of Manchester United. It is not very often where Manchester United lose two games in a row. On Saturday it was a massive shock to the footballing world that Blackburn at the bottom of the English Premier League beat what many people thought would be back to back champions, now though not many people think that the Red side of Manchester will be the Champions come May. Manchester City lead Manchester United by 3 points. There goal difference is + 5. Aguero and Dzeko are magnificent players but what about Carlos Tevez? Tevez has been a tear-away, sad to see but I think that this Argentinian needs to go home as he has acted like he is very home-sick.
I think that his behaviour when Roberto Mancini asked him to start warming up against Bayern Munich was horrendous, his pay packet is larger then my mum's pay and he was despicable. In my job if I didn't do what I was told there would be a 99% chance that I would be involved in disciplinary action.
Is the Tevez saga ever going to be resolved? Are Manchester United still the best team in Manchester or is the strength and depth of Manchester City going to steer them to the English Crown for the first time since the 1950s?

My hopes for 2012
Well here we are, the year when London hosts the 2012 Olympic games. It was quite an entertaining 2011. In January 2011 we saw Fernando Torres sign for Chelsea for a Whopping £50 million pounds, we also saw Andy Carroll go to Liverpool for £35 million pounds. Luis Suarez goes to Liverpool. It was an interesting January full of managers looking for a steal to strengthen there squad.
Manchester City were always going to be the money bags of the English Premier League. With Mancini at the helm the gaffer would want strength in depth and what better way to start the ball rolling with capturing Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero, Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy and David Silva. Attacking wise, The Blues have a lot more strength in depth then the Red Devils who have Giggs ageing...he might be losing a yard of pace but he must be such an influential player for the youngsters at the club. Title direction wise it is hotting up. On the last weekend of 2011 Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City all lost where as Liverpool, Arsenal, Blackburn, Sunderland, Everton all won. For the neutral it will be very interesting who lifts the English Premiership Cup up come May.
My hopes for 2012 are...Oxford to reach the League 2 play-offs and to be in League 1. To pass my CBT. To take one day at a time.
I would like to take this opportunity to say to the BBC not to stop showing the Football League Show on a Saturday night, for all the Football league teams and supporters it is a joke not to show fans there clubs goals. It is disgusting that Football league fans have to watch the Premiership. It is alright for the top 4 club fans being able to see there team on the television for Oxford United fans it has taken 4 seasons and yet the BBC are reducing there costs by cutting probably the second most popular rated football show. BRING THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE SHOW BACK!!!

Life
Whilst listening to Alicia Keys -Never Felt This Way, it has made me start writing my second post for my newly designed blog. I really am an amateur! When I'm on the BBC website which is every 5 minutes, checking on the latest news for my beloved Oxford United, I sit in my bedroom wondering how the likes of Mark Webber, Formula One racing driver for Red Bull and Dan Walker, presenter on Football Focus, get the time to write about their day to day activities. These people are very passionate and they get the job done... I've always thought that these sportsmen are really committed to the cause.
I am an ordinary, just turned 25, female, who in years to come dreams of being a footballing journalist. I would love to put in reports on my Oxford United team and go to grounds such as Old Trafford, Stadium de luz, Real Madrid and Barcelona. That feeling of going into a packed-out crowd just gives me such a massive lift.
On Sunday 16th May 2010, 33,000 Oxford yellow and blue fans braved the mean streets of London to watch Oxford take on York City in the Blue Square Bet Premier. It meant a lot to the yellow and blue army as we had faced 4 seasons in a place that is so hard to get out of. Jack Midson, who now is at Wimbledon, had a belter of a game, running the York midfield and getting them tied in knots. Matthew Green's goal was actually totally breath-taking. What vision. Up to half-time we were pretty comfortable. Mark "Beast" Crieghton was a rock at the heart of the defence, although Ryan Clarke, our goal-keeper, made a total tool out of himself by putting the ball into his own net. LOL.
Chris Wilder changed the shape of the team by taking Midson off and bringing on the nippy duo of Sam Deering and Alfie Potter; Sam Deering was seering down the right and Alfie Potter was seering down the left, one - two - GOOOAAAALLLLL! Deering was very unselfish in passing the ball to nippy Potter. Surely that had to have secured The Yellow's path back into the Football League? Once the final whistle had gone I had a tear in my eye; I had never witnessed such a full-blooded occasion that meant so much to the future of Oxford United.
That game gets repeated in my mind every 48 hours! We have now been back in League 2 for 1 in a half seasons now. On Boxing Day we have a very vital game at Kingsmeadow, which is the home of AFC Wimbledon. Terry Brown has down an immense job and I hope that the "Dons" can stay in the league. Oxford are in quite a healthy position, although if we hadn't lost all of our games in November we would be facing quite a comfortable feeling of being nicely placed in the play-offs - yet, dare I say it, it is looking very tight, as 4 points separates us from our nearest and fiercest rivals - Swindon! 2 points off the play-offs, anything is possible ...
Just wanting to sign off. - Merry Christmas to you all.

Me and my simple Love-Ins
Why do men do the dirty? That is what I would like to know. Does anyone know why men have big egos? How about women? Do we suffer big ego syndrome too? Now, I'm not saying that I haven't got a bit of an ego, but some people think far too much of themselves. Take for example Britney Spears, do you think she's got a big ego?
There are many sportsmen who, personally, have very big egos. I could make a list but I will only give a few names, Wayne Rooney... does every European team need him? Ronaldo... is he the best player to come out of Portugal? John Terry... is he the best England Central Defender? These people seem to like to think that their money tells a huge story, but for me, I am just starting out on my life... I am in my early 20s, but to be honest, what would I do with my millions? Now don't get me wrong, I am a huge football fan but I am not one to support the so-called 'Big 4' in the English Premier League.
I support a small team which is quite close to my heart, Oxford United. When I was 17, I went to the Kassam for the very first time. What an incredible atmosphere. My mum had taken me to Oxford with my sister. It was my first ever game - and I've never looked back ...
